Hearing Aid Evaluation and Selection
During a hearing aid evaluation, you will meet with Dr Robbins, who will discuss with you the different hearing aid styles and technologies, and benefits to wearing hearing aids. Custom impressions may be taken of your ears, depending on your specific needs. It is common for you to be able to be fitted with trial hearing aids that you can wear during your everyday activities for a week or two. This lets you see what devices are like in your real life and not just in a well-controlled office environment.
Hearing Aid Dispensing & Fitting
At the hearing aid fitting, you will receive the hearing aids you selected. They are programmed based on a prescription that is specific to each person’s hearing loss. Dr Robbins will make adjustments after you try the hearing aids to make sure the settings and fit are ideal for you. It is common for there to be several additional visits to fine-tune the hearing aids to ensure you are getting the greatest benefit possible from the devices.
Hearing Aid Repairs
Some hearing aid repairs can be done in the office setting in a short period of time; others will need to be sent to the manufacturer for repair. We can help determine what kind of repair is necessary if your hearing aid is not working properly.
